Description
At present, monocrystalline silicon is used in about 95% of all electronic
components. The expected worldwide boom in mobile communication equipment is one
example of an increased demand in wafer production.
When a crystal has been grown, various processing stages follow: sawing,
polishing, lacquering, developing, tempering, edge smoothing, and etching.
